12月3日 宮城県生まれ（母の実家）、東京育ち。

Born in Shiogama, Japan on December 3rd.

1973

父親の転勤で、幼少期から青年期をアフリカとアメリカで過ごす。

Moved to Africa and then the United States for his father's international assignments.

1986

筑波大学に入学。

Entered Tsukuba University to study international affairs.

1990

三和銀行（現・三菱東京ＵＦＪ銀行）に入行（1996年退行）。

Joined Sanwa Bank (current Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd.) and worked in the new corporation division.

1995

ボストンでスペシャルティーコーヒーと出会う。

First experience with specialty coffee at a cafe in Boston.

1996

シアトルの小さなコーヒーショップ タリーズとの交渉の末、日本での経営権を獲得。

First meeting with the small regional coffee chain "Tully's Coffee" in Seattle.

1997

タリーズコーヒー1号店を銀座にオープン。

Opened the first Tully's Coffee in Japan under license from Tully's Coffee US.

1998

タリーズコーヒージャパン株式会社設立。
代表取締役社長就任。

Established Tully’s Coffee Japan, Ltd. as founder, president and CEO.

2001

ナスダック・ジャパン（現・ヘラクレス）に株式を上場。

Tully's Coffee Japan completes an IPO on NASDAQ Japan - from founding to IPO in 3 years and 2 months - the fastest in Japanese history as a food and beverage corporation then.

2002

タリーズコーヒー100号店をオープン。
持株会社体制に移行（ フードエックス・グローブ株式会社）。

Opened the 100th store.Established Foodx Globe, Ltd. as a holding company for Tully's Coffee Japan and expanding business lines.

2004

MBOにより非上場化。

After 26 months of listing, successful privatization through MBO (IPO price was JPY160,000 per share. MBO bid was as JPY520,000 per share).

2005

米国タリーズより日本におけるタリーズの商標権を完全取得。

Completed purchase from Tully's Coffee US of all Japanese intellectual property rights for Tully's Coffee Japan.

2006

タリーズコーヒー300号店をオープン。
株式会社伊藤園に株式の過半数を譲渡。

Opened the 300th store. Sold a majority of company shares to Ito En, Ltd.

2007

タリーズコーヒージャパン株式会社代表取締役社長を退任。

One year after the handover to Ito En, resigned as president and CEO of Tully's Coffee Japan.

2008

ファンドAFCM（アジアフードカルチャーマネージメント）をシンガポールに設立。
タリーズコーヒーインターナショナルをシンガポールに設立しファウンダーに。
世界第2位のサンドイッチチェーン・クイズノス社のアジア環太平洋社長に就任。

Established AFCM (Asia Food Culture Management) Fund in Singapore. Established Tully’s Coffee International as a joint venture company of AFCM and Tully's Coffee US to expand Tully's Coffee in the Asia Pacific region Becomes President of Asia Pacific region for US-based Quiznos (world's second largest sub sandwich chain).

2009

（株）ヤマノビューティメイトのアジア環太平洋拠点 Face+by Yamano Asia Pacificをシンガポールに設立し山野幹夫氏と共同会長に就任。
エッグスンシングスインターナショナルホールディングスを設立し、CEOに就任。

Established Face+ by Yamano Asia Pacific, a joint venture to expand Yamano brand in Asia Pacific region.

2007年 世界経済会議（通称：ダボス会議）のYoung Global Leaderとして選出。 開発途上国の飢餓解消に取り組むNPO「TABLE FOR TWO International」理事。
